Natural oak kitchen cabinets by Snaidero

The resulting surface finish has a “manually planed” effect, yielding an extraordinary feature of industrial craftsmanship. The kitchen looks natural and contemporary. It’s simple, functional and aesthetic. The kitchen is an interesting choice for those who search for an ecological and natural product with a great design. It represents the most up-to-date woodworking technology, offering doors with a solid outer frame in thermally treated oak. With this special treatment, wood is subjected to a drying process at 190°, which changes its chemical structure and gives positive results with regard to stability and colour.

Mabley Handler Interior Design

Like so many of you, I love everything that Mabley Handler Interior Design touches. This beach-side Amagansett home featured in Hamptons Cottages & Gardens certainly is no exception. The clients wanted a sophisticated beach house, with a cool color palette reminiscent of the ocean and sandy beaches on a misty day. The serene pale oyster gray with a hint of blue is brought to life with texture and depth in such a beautiful way with all the accessories. (Oh my goodness, those chandeliers!) To read more about the home, head over here. And if you missed them before, check out these posts here and here for more eye candy from Mabley Handler! Enjoy your weekend everyone! :)

Blue Painted Ceilings

After seeing Meghan's amazing painted turquoise floor last week, I was determined to paint the floor in my new porch too. Now of course, after doing this post, I'm convinced the ceiling needs to be painted too. Maybe in EVERY room! Ha! As you can see from above, it's not just for front porches anymore. (Do you know why the paint of choice for many porches across the country is blue? Read about it here.) No matter the room, I adore the way it looks. So now I need to know...have any of you kicked it up a notch and painted your ceiling something other than white?? Blue perhaps?? ;) Have a great weekend everyone!
